C4 International Colloquium on EMC, Lightning and Power Quality Considerations for Renewable Energy Systems

The International Colloquium will provide an opportunity to explore the new challenges related to EMC, Lightning and Power Quality in power systems incorporating renewable generations

Scope of the Colloquium

The International Colloquium will provide an opportunity to explore the new challenges related to EMC, Lightning and Power Quality in power systems incorporating renewable generations.

The colloquium is expected to provide an international exchange platform to:  

-          Share worldwide experiences and solutions for EMC, Lightning and Power Quality problems in power systems incorporating large-scale renewable generations;

-          Generate new ideas based on the knowledge shared by well-known experts on renewable energy generation from across the world.

 

Topics

Prospective authors are invited to submit abstracts on the following topics:

  • Control technologies for wind and solar power generation;
  • Modeling and simulation of renewable energy generation;
  • Research on the standards and testing-technology for renewable energy generation including cables, etc;
  • EMI in renewable energy generation including impact on components specifications;
  • Lightning Protection of renewable energy generation systems with special emphasis on turbine blades and fibre-glass nacelle;
  • Installation practice including problems encountered and overcome;
  • Power Quality issues arising from renewable energy generation
Language

The working language of the Colloquium is English and will be used for all communicated materials, presentation and discussions. Abstracts and papers must be submitted in English.

Information for prospective authors

Abstracts should be submitted not later than August 31, 2015 to the Colloquium office via Colloquium Web site (http:/www.institutoslactec.org.br). The abstracts (presenting the aim, content and results) must be not more than two pages long. Authors are kindly requested to propose original and not previously published papers. Only papers of a high technical level will be accepted, and commercial papers promoting or advertising specific products or systems will not be accepted.

Following submission, the abstracts will be screened by the Program Committee and authors will be informed of the acceptance of their abstracts not later than October 15, 2015. Full papers (preferably not exceeding six pages) ought to be submitted before December 15, 2015 for review.

Notification of final acceptance will be given before February 1, 2016.
