An International CIGRE Symposium organised by the Irish National Committee and 6 Study Committees.

The CIGRÉ Irish National Committee working with 6 Study Committees are delighted to host a CIGRÉ Symposium in Dublin, Ireland.

The symposium will focus on experiences gained from trialling new techniques, technologies and concepts in the design, build and operation of Power and Market Systems around the world.  

This holistic assessment of the Power System of the future will include lessons learned from these practical experiences.

Trinity College Dublin

The symposium will be held in Trinity College Dublin, a centre of learning for over 400 years and home to the iconic Book of Kells. 

Trinity College is conveniently located in the heart of Dublin city centre.


The main symposium sessions will take place on Wednesday 31st May & Thursday 1st June.  A half day tutorial session will be held on the afternoon of Tuesday 30th May and a technical visit will take place on Friday 2nd June.  

Study Committee meetings for C1, C2, C4, C5, C6 and B2 will take place between Saturday 27th and Tuesday 30th May.


Participants wishing to present papers are invited to submit their abstract in ENGLISH (500 words) before 30th September 2016 to:
