After the disastrous Great East Japan Earthquake on March 11, 2011, the electric energy supply in Japan is shifting from nuclear power to renewable energy. To introduce more renewable energy into the grid, the smart grid related technologies are very important. The topics of the colloquium are related to renewable energy and smart grids. It is a good opportunity to discuss the technologies for the future. It will help making desirable energy systems.
