30th CIGRE Greece National Conference

Athens Greece 2nd and 3rd April 2020

Background

The biennial National Conference of CIGRE Greece is the most prestigious event in the domain of electricity in the country, attracting speakers and audience from the industry and the universities. It is typically attended by over 200 participants.

The Conference “Athens 2020” is the 30th such conference, aiming to inform the participants on the latest technical, engineering and research activities of the local Industry and Universities in the field of Electrical Power Systems.  

Tentative Program

The Conference “Athens 2020” will be held in central hotel in Athens on 2 and 3 of April 2020 and will host in parallel the semestrial meeting of the Technical Council of the CIGRE international organization, which will take place on 3 and 4 April 2020. Taking advantage of the Technical Council meeting in Athens, 4 Tutorials will be offered on April 2 afternoon by Study Committee Chairpersons on current developments and state of the art on topics related to Cables, HVDC, Electricity Markets and else.

Submission of abstracts

Interested authors shall submit to the Chairman, Secretary General and Secretariat of CIGRE Greece (m.chambakis@deddie.gr kabouris@admie.gr and s.pantazi@dei.com.gr) an extended abstract of the paper they intend to present, not more than an A4 page. The topic of the abstract should present latest advancements on issues related to the “Preferential Subjects” of the CIGRE Session 2020 to be organized in Paris. The topic can be also relevant to current technical and research activities in the field of the Electrical Power Systems in Greece.
