Paris Session 2022

The Paris Session 2022 will return to its traditional in-person format in 2022. The French government has now lifted the indoor gathering limit to 5000, so our unique event is all clear to go ahead in the format we appreciate the most.

 

 

Our research following the Virtual Centennial Session showed us that our CIGRE community is hankering for face-to-face reengagement. A new phenomena - 'digital fatigue' - means there is a lot of pent up demand for an in-person event.

 

We have listened very carefully and are pulling out all the stops to ensure that this in-person event can proceed successfully and safely. We anticipate that the waning of the Covid threat will pose a lesser threat to our event and we fully expect a high number of attendees, perhaps even record numbers. Early interest and registrations already show us that the CIGRE community is again ready for an in-person event!

 

It is also reassuring to know that:

• Our exhibitors are all lining up to participate, looking forward to sharing with you their latest innovations, services and products.

• Our venue will have rigorous Covid protocals in place.

 

Recognising that travel still remains a challenge for some of our more distant members, a remote digital attendance option is available as a practical and valuable alternative for those who still aren’t able to join us in Paris this time.

The remote attendance price is the same as for physical attendance. This is because, either way, you still gain access to more than 950 technical papers spanning the entire power system. All crucial information for the serious power system professional. If you attend remotely you also save the significant costs of international travel and Paris accommodation.

 

With ‘restorative daylight’ visible at the far end of this Covid tunnel, CIGRE is totally committed to this year’s in-person event in beautiful Paris. We look forward to reconnecting with you and welcoming you back to the city of light and the home of CIGRE’s founding over 100 years ago!
