After having learnt about Cable Technology and Superconductivity in the Previous Factory Visit this year at Nexans, we offer a second deep dive into a dynamic startup atmosphere: You can visit the new factory of a promising Swiss High-tech startup at its fifth anniversary. HIVODUCT ( www.hivoduct.com ) is introducing a third powerline architecture that completes the established OHL and Cable technology with pressured air ducts that offer high current, low capacitance, low risk fire materials, no joints and 90deg angles to overcome space limitations within e.g. tight substations. We will give a short CIGRE Welcome Introduction and look at the recent CIGRE Cable conference results in Trondheim and then learn more about the new Hivoduct products and technology that was already presented in CIGRE Sessions 2022 and 2024 and now turns into operations.
