5th International Colloquium “Transformer Research and Asset Management”

Croatian National Committee of CIGRÉ (www.hro-cigre.hr) together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing in Zagreb and The Centre of Excellence for Transformers are organizing the 5^th Colloquium on Transformers which will gather specialists from the academic community, research institutes, electric utilities and industrial world. The Colloquium is supported by the CIGRÉ A2 committee. The last Colloquium, encompassing 225 participants from 25 countries and 64 papers by 174 authors, was held in Pula in 2017 (see info about it www.hro-cigre.hr/4ct).

 

The event is the perfect place to exchange ideas, ask questions and express opinions, renew old acquaintances and make new friendships. The aim is to bring together researchers from the transformer production, universities, and utilities in order to present and discuss their research results and latest advances in the fields of power, special, distribution and instrument transformers.

Topics

Papers regarding all aspects of power, special, distribution and instrument transformers are encouraged. The papers will be divided into three main topics:

Publication & Important dates

• April 1, 2019: extended abstract submission due date

• June 1, 2019 notification of acceptance
• September 10, 2019: full paper submission due date
• October 9 – 12, 2019: Colloquium at the Remisens Premium Hotel Ambasador, Opatija, Croatia

 

All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings and distributed to participants of the Colloquium. Selected number of papers will be published in the Special Issue of Springer Lecture Notes in Electrical Engineering.

 

Venue

The Colloquium will take place in the Remisens Premium Hotel Ambasador, Opatija, Croatia. The hotel has a central location near Opatija’s city center, but still maintains its privacy. It is situated above the private beach and Lungomare, a 12 kilometer promenade on the coast of the Adriatic Sea.

Opatija, a magnificent coastal town on the Adriatic Sea and a well-known 19th-century health resort, is today a popular holiday destination for tourists from all over the world. A mild and pleasant climate makes Opatija a perfect destination all year long. The town is surrounded by stunning nature. It is located at the foot of Mount Ucka, a popular destination for hikers and excursionists and a boundary between the green Istrian peninsula and the littoral region which features a perfect harmony of varied landscapes. The town of Opatija offers a beautiful view of the sea and the nearby islands of Krk and Cres, which can easily be visited by car or ferry. Opatija is surrounded by charming small towns characterised by narrow streets and a rich history.

Opatija boasts numerous places of interest. The town’s streets are filled with houses distinguished by a specific architecture and with villas from the Habsburg period. This is a renowned wellness destination that continues to attract guests in search of a relaxed atmosphere. A wide range of beaches, clear sea and a variety of services and facilities are the key factors why tourists keep coming back to Opatija.
