Electrify & Decarbonize Air Traffic

Decarbonizing transport is a key pillar for a sustainable energy transition. This also challenges the air transport industry, where efficiency, high energy density at low weight storage and safety face an accentuated importance. With CIGRE Switzerland you can visit the pioneers of small airplane electrification at their yearly innovation meeting at Bern Airport and experience the ongoing take-off into electrified airplanes. The event consists of a symposium, an exhibition, demo flights, a distance fly-in trophy and passenger flights which you can buy (or win with Electrosuisse for NGN/WIE).

Note the detailed demo flight and symposium programme usually get published only on short notice just a few days before the event – anyhow it is worthwhile registering early, CIGRE will be on site with National Members, Next Generation Network and Women in Energy and welcome any interested guests from anywhere in Europe or even the world.
