CIGRE Switzerland onboarding & Paris digest webinar

CIGRE Switzerland regularly runs an onboarding Webinar with a global CIGRE Strategy update, a short introduction on Key Processes and Technical Presentations.

 

This time, our National President will give a strategy update on the CIGRE One Grid initiative, addressing distribution grid experts, and build a link between the CIGRE Paris One Grid Pavilion and its next edition at the CIGRE Heidelberg Symposium End of April 2027 in Germany (abstracts deadline November 2, 2026). Then we shortly introduce and update global CIGRE core processes, suitable to both new and experienced experts and updating everyone on the latest status according CIGRE One Grid - Transmission and Distribution working together becomes a technical necessity! You can publish innovation (papers), join working groups to co-develop yet unsolved challenges or download Technical Brochures to apply internationally leading best practice (read it today and apply it tomorrow!).

 

Our two technical presentations deliver two Swiss Paris Session 2026 papers:

 

• Maxime PERRET from GE (Paris 2026 A3 PS2 paper 12’255) summarises seven years of operation experience with one of the earliest SF6-free CO2/O2/C4-FN based 145 kV GIS operated by RTE in southern France.

 

• Alexandre OUDALOV from Hitachi Energy (Paris 2026 C1 PS1 paper 11’968) shows how to model climate change impacts on long term Energy Infrastructure Planning, using a specific case of India covering 70 states with projections up to 2070 as an illustrative example.

 

The presentations are followed by a short Q&A on all given presentations and an outlook on recommended upcoming next events.

 

• The event is open to CIGRE members and experts worldwide, with an inclusive approach to NGN, WiE and senior experts on the same platform. We give generic insights on CIGRE starting from a Swiss perspective and appreciate your Q&A also from all over the world to help you in finding your desired resources.
