Sustainable and digital power grids of the future
Sustainable and digital power grids of the future
“Operation, Planning and Regulatory Perspectives”
In light of the continuous complexities and challenges facing power systems in the future, Jordan Cigre National Committee (JCNC) is pleased to invite engineers and experts in industrial and academic sectors as well as the researchers in electrical and energy fields to participate in the conference titled" Sustainable and digital power grids of the future", which will be held in Dead Sea, Jordan during the period 22-23 November 2023 and to attend the power system components exhibition associated with this conference.
This conference constitutes a valuable chance to enhance the interaction and exchange of ideas among participants. It will also be a unique event for electric and energy utilities and industry representatives, to present their problems and plans to solve the problems arising from the various operational, financial, environmental and regulatory issues.
The conference will bring together international, regional, and local energy leaders and experts to discuss best practices and policies focused on power systems resilience, innovations, technologies, solutions, and sustainability efforts. The two days event will offer unique networking opportunities and include plenary sessions, panel discussions and workshops to discuss the power systems future. In parallel to the event an exhibition will take place to provide a platform for power and energy companies to showcase their latest innovations, solutions and technologies and allow participants to further strengthen their professional network and build partnerships with key power and energy stakeholders locally, regionally, and internationally.
The conference focuses on recent researches, developments and policies related to transition to innovative, sustainable and resilient power systems. The conference provides an opportunity for experts, scholars and engineers to exchange knowledge about such technical and regulatory aspects during technical sessions.
Conference Objectives:
- Enhancing the cooperation and experience between electric and energy sectors in the planning, operating and controlling power systems.
- Encouraging research and studies in the fields of power generation, transmission and distribution.
- Enabling energy and electric engineers to demonstrate their practical problems associated with maintaining stability and continuity of supply at affordable costs.
- Encouraging university students to make joint research with engineers in electric utilities in the fields of power systems.
